Overview
Dmitri is not to be confused with another, brief character of Julia's named Dimitri. Personality At first, Dmitri was quiet, pleasant, friendly, and honorable. He cared for others, took no dishonor lightly, and defended his allies and love interest to any ends. Nowadays, he is a surly, woman-hating drunk, and a little bit of a self-loathing masochist. His pleasant behaviour is now mostly a facade; his most sincere moments are his bitterest ones. Appearance Dmitri has longish brown hair tied low, and brown eyes. He wields a rapier. Powers Dmitri has no magical abilities whatsoever and is not particularly fast, strong, or smart. He is a very average man, perhaps a bit sub-average for a human PC. Pre-role-play history Dmitri was squire to Princess Michelle of Sapphiron, and fell in love with her. At some point, when he was 15 and she was 13, she slept with him; not out of love but to try to pretend she was more mature than she really was. She then hated him for the incident and ignored it and treated him poorly (if she hadn't already before then). Eventually, Michelle ran away from home (in a cry for attention), and Dmitri faithfully followed her away to be her bodyguard and servant. Role-play history Dmitri (with Michelle, of course) eventually came across Lakeside and moved into the mansion with Kalil, Jayden, Necro, and Traica, among others; all who had a profound distaste for Michelle for treating him so poorly, but rather liked Dmitri himself for being so upstanding in character. They all pressured him to abandon her and his romantic interests in her, but he resisted the idea and never voiced a bad opinion of her, instead defending her attitude without explaining why. At some point while living there, he along with some of the others ended up going through a portal to Metalibethita, with Dmitri being stuck there when the portal closed after the others went back home. He wandered aimlessly for a while and made friends with an intelligent, talking raven named Korbin. When he made his way back to the fant/med world proper, he brought Korbin with him. Michelle was flirtatious with Necro, earning Dmitri's ire towards him, and then she made out with Traica's son Tannen annoying Dmitri even further about everyone. Finally she crossed the line and allowed herself to be seduced by the evil archdemon Dechaerrim (despite knowing that he had beat Kalil's daughter, raped Traica, and murdered Jayden). Dmitri desperately tried to convince her to leave Dech but she refused to listen even when banned from Jayden's kingdom's castle. At one point, Dech sent a demonic minion named Draug after Dmitri at the same time guards from Sapphiron came to arrest him for "kidnapping" Michelle. Draug killed all but one of the guards and framed Dmitri for summoning him to do it. Dmitri pleaded with both Michelle and Dech for a long time before finally having to offer a hostage trade for her freedom. Dech agreed, and Dmitri found a nymph maiden to give him as a sex slave in exchange for Michelle. Moved by this, or perhaps just hurt at being told that Dech didn't love her (by Dech this time), she finally agreed to go back to Sapphiron. Upon returning home, Michelle's father the king sentenced Dmitri to death for kidnapping, demon-summoning, and murder. Michelle had an about-face and pleaded for him to be spared. He was, but was banished from Sapphiron and sent to wander alone. He eventually came back to the castle Jayden lived in, in a far angrier disposition than before. He flirted solicitously with the maids and Princess Leyla, and re-met Korbin there, confessing all of the past events and emotions to the bird. On his way to the castle in the first place, he ran into an exiting Ruth, Dech's mother, and offered to travel with her to keep her safe. Immediately they were attacked by bandits. He was injured in the battle and left for dead, and she was kidnapped and raped. He barely managed to limp back to the castle and warn the others, but his light-hearted manner of messengering made Dech dislike him further and blame him for the entire incident. Dmitri then let Dech beat him to death, but was revived by him shortly thereafter, all in witness of Leyla, who then decided she didn't like him much after all. Bitter against women now, Dmitri has been wandering aimlessly and drinking ever since. He briefly visited the world Metalibethita, where he befriended an intelligent, speaking raven named Korbin, whom he brought back with him to the main world. Dmitri frequently has arguments with Gloria, for whom he seems to show both attraction and venom. He is reluctant friends with the werewolf Hannah, who idolizes him because he was present when she was freed from captivity as a slave. Current Status Dmitri's exact location is unknown since he moves around so much. Family Unknown. |
