Personality Despite her multiple reincarnations, Gloria's core personality remains constant, due to how her god created her: Gloria is devoutly and piously aligned, combating evil on sight, healing and defending good people, banishing demons, destroying the undead, and giving advice to those who ask it. She carries herself confidently but humbly. She believes in following the letter of the law exactly, and to serve and aide all who need it. She is often harshly judgmental of others, but never mean except to actual outright villains. Appearance Gloria has straight, coppery-red hair and matching-colored phoenix wings, and light blue eyes. She usually wears a very simple red or bronze sundress. Her armor is silver and sold, including a helm and chain skirt, and a silver shield with a gold sun on it. She also wields a sword. Gloria walks with a limb due to her feet being mangled at one point. She has a long scar running from the base of her neck to the bottom of her stomach, and a knife scar in her sword arm that makes her combat skills more sluggish. Powers Gloria is an extremely adept healer, able to heal most wounds, cure most poisons, and even revive the dead. She also wields combative holy powers, able to bless allies and smite foes. She has some fire powers, and fire immunity. Pre-role-play history Gloria has existed since nearly the dawn of time, created by a Sun god (or, possibly, the very Sun itself) to be its avatar. She has died countless times, finally ascending into the goddess Avkwi in one life. However, she was eventually killed by the shadow god Tivik. Role-play history Avkwi then reincarnated as a little girl and as usual, lost all memories of her previous life. She was found and named by Adam. As a teenager, she fell in love with Akumei in her teenhood, having met him when they and Jayden were captured and forced to fight in a gladitorial arena. However, she was killed by Beiel when defending Traica in battle, which began Akumei's decline into insanity. She was reincarnated as a phoenix chick, and at the request of Akumei, was hyper-aged back to teen age by Binkasu, and then lost her virginity to him. The Sun sent her on a strange, random mission, which was to intercept Traica and Del'narreth as they attempted to take a mysterious artifact called simply 'The Orb', capable of, at least, creating undead. She was rendered unconscious by Del'narreth's servants as they took Traica captive (the latter being in labor now), and Gloria fled back home to warn everyone of the plot to kill the Drow and her newborn. She helped them infiltrate Neriak in time to rescue Traica and Israel. However, a short time later, Traica and Akumei had a bitter fight, and Akumei went insane and attempted to kill everyone living at the mansion. The Sun killed Gloria and sent her back as an adult, with more powers, and the ability to summon her armor and sword. She beheaded Akumei, no longer remembering him or their love, though she retained bits and pieces of memory of other people, including back into her life as Avkwi. She was once kidnapped by Derkai and tortured in his dungeon, but managed to free herself by cutting off her own hands to stop him in the middle of raping Mar. She recovered slowly, and then later managed to kill Derkai in battle. She was witness to the sacrifice Mai made to resurrect Kii, and hated them both for a long time. When Mai came around back to the good side, Gloria accepted her again, but still hates Kii. Gloria has detested Dechaerrim forever. He not only lied about having her captive to try to bait and enslave Jayden, but then actually did take Gloria captive and used her as bait to rape Jayden. This led to Dech and Jayden's relationship, but Gloria disliked him no less, until he also came around to the good side. Gloria was most recently killed by Dech's father, Harziyax when he attacked Lakeside. She reincarnated distantly, and a month or so later, was recovered by Adam and brought to town. By then, she was only a phoenix chick, but soon grew into a full bird before finally gaining a human form. However, she was shortly possessed and corrupted by an evil spirit which warped her intuition of other people, causing her to believe everyone was evil. She began to attack and kill people, and had to be imprisoned. Finally the townsfolk prayed her Sun god to fix her; instead, the Sun god merely smote her and remade her as an adult with her common sense and selective memories intact. She was then kidnapped and tortured by an insane Vex, which is where her scars came from. She was hospitalized for a while and fell into a depression, though finally healed enough to become active and useful again. Current Status Gloria is alive and resides in Lakeside. Family Gloria has no family from this life or any of her previous lives, and is incapable of having children, in any of her lives. |
