Overview
James originally was 18 years old and a character in a story of Joelle's, based on an even earlier character from another role-play, who was in turn based on Yue from Cardcaptor Sakura. Personality James on the surface seems obliviously chipper about life, but it is actually a state he's relaxed into after spending his entire life being increasingly bitter, sociopathic, depressed, and paranoid. His bad moods sometimes flair up when he's faced with particular triggers, but overall he lives in a very blank state, distancing himself from everything around him, whether they are good or bad. By now he hardly connects with emotional responses at all, can barely empathize with anyone, and has a tendency to abandon people close to him on a whim. Appearance James is a somewhat tall, very lean teenager, often seen wearing a white dress shirt and black slacks. He has longish hair that is pale powder-blue, and tied in a ponytail, though he still has bangs. His eyes likewise are light blue, with slit vertical pupils. As he is a shapeshifter he can assume the form of any animal he's seen, but only has a few preferences. In dragon form (his default for melee combat), he is twice as large as a horse, with light blue scales, a long and narrow snout, two long white horns, a tapered whip-like tail, broad transparent bat-like wings, a white underbelly, and a row of dagger-like ice-blue spines running along his back. As a cat, he is fluffy and white, with one blue eye and one green eye, like a Turkish Angora. As a dog, he has shaggy black and white patched fur, with floppy ears. Powers James can shift into any animal he's ever seen, within some weight limits. He weighs a third of what a human his size would, and so can shrink down the size of a cat, but not get any larger than his dragon form (which must be light to fly anyway). He cannot become inanimate objects, but can form them out of his own matter. His senses are all heightened except for touch, which is poor, and taste, which is absent. He is resistant to fire but becomes sluggish in the cold, and is extremely weak to electricity. Pre-role-play history James' sociopath mother Agatha killed his father Klaihn and abandoned James to be raised by Koorukai, a night stallion hiding on the Ethereal plane. He lived with Kooru until he was seven, when a random rift put him on the material plane, and he was adopted by the human mayor of a town who gave him the surname Tyler. The mayor was mind-controlled by an evil entity and then banished James from the town three years later. Role-play history James was the main victim and sometimes villain of the Silly Ages, enduring 111 deaths, 38 children (half of which he gave birth to himself, as a female), obedience collars/bracelets/curses, rapes (as every gender, by every gender), reincarnations (including as demons, a hippogriff, a dog, a wolf, a rat, a cat, a Dark Elf, a winged Wood Elf, and once in the body of his own aunt), possessions (by demons, ghosts, and alien parasites), kidnappings (by everyone for every reason), abuse (of every variety), assault (often fatally), illness (rabies, flus, colds, poisons), parasites (ticks, fleas, alien symbiotes), and has been forced into every possible taboo act (including incest, rape, murder, cannibalism, pedophilia, and bestiality), and killed by every possible means. As a result he has also in turn killed most of his friends and family, or at least tried. James has had consentual relationships with Kitto, his first wife who later disappeared; Lahela, a human girl who also disappeared; Starr (not Stardust), a human girl who fell in love with him before trying to kill him when he became a werewolf, and then she married Zack (Delia's then-love-interest); Kiba, whom he later left for Stardust. James finally had a turn of good fortune. His father was revived and started taking care of him, and his own surviving children live in the next-door house. His chronic vampirism and lycanthropy were both cured and he James' last deathcount was 112. Current Status James is alive and living with Stardust. Family James' parents are Agatha and Klaihn, and his living grandparents are Mahala and Zaeyuun. He has three half-sisters, Jacquelina, Penelope, and Gwenivere, and an aunt Jasmine (Agatha's half-sister).
