Overview
Aoi is a first-generation character created by Joelle. "Aoi" is Japanese for "the color blue". Personality Aoi is usually easy-going, optimistic, and cheerful. Most of his attitude is in fact programmed into him, and so he is impossible of actually being put in a bad mood for very long; as soon as a negative situation has passed, his mood resets to cheerfulness. Also part of his default personality is that he is extremely defensive of children, seeking to help and heal them whenever possible, and avenging their deaths if they are murdered. He is non-violent if possible, using passive means of interference, but will use lethal force if he has no other options. Appearance During his psychotic genie phase, Aoi was a diminutive tabby kitten. Before and after that, he is a young man with brown eyes and black hair, and a huge pair of feathered wings; the feathers are medium-gray with black tips. He generally wears some kind of khaki pants, an off-white shirt, and a long green jacket. The exact style varies from time to time. He also wields a sword with a diamond inlaid in the hilt that glows soft white; should Aoi ever perish (almost completely impossible), the stone would stop glowing, shatter, and the sword would fall to pieces. Powers Aoi has a wide and extremely powerful range of magic abilities. He must enact them with vocal commands like a spellcaster. His best powers are those of material manipulation; creating force-fields, furniture, plants, causing erosion in metal, summoning/purifying food and beverages, and healing physical injuries. He has no psionic or telepathic abilities and cannot cure amnesia or other mental illnesses. He can shapeshift but never does; he's only been known to do so twice ever in his life. He is also multi-lingual, being able to tap into a dictionary of words from many of Earth's major languages. Pre-role-play history Aoi was created as Enku with his twin brother Epna on Earth on July 22nd, 1899. They belonged to a particular sect of angels that create more of their kind using their own celestial energies; the newborn angels always are twinned with complementary assigned roles. Enku was the guardian angel of children, thus his hard-wired drive to protect them. He was raised and trained by the other angels, and helped to create two more, Zoe and Necro, before leaving the sect due to not agreeing with their disregard for mortal lives and their Lucifer-like pursuit of ultimate power. He transported himself to the fantasy/medieval world proper. Role-play history Leaving the sect of angels caused him to go insane (a pre-set condition the angels put in all their creations to prevent desertion). His mind latched onto his single goal to defend children, and exaggerated it into a psychotic rampage of creating them. He transformed himself into a tiny kitten, told everyone he was a genie named Aoi, and ended up causing many random magical pregnancies in people. These magically-created children include Tannen, Amber, Akita, Rei, and more. Sometime during this, he accidentally cast an obedience spell on himself, but only taking commands from a little girl. She ended up ordering him to transform into a human and have sex with another genie named "The Muffin Man" (who was at the time female), and then for them to switch genders and have sex again. Both ended up pregnant with twins, but MM discarded his somewhere and Aoi never learned of them. A few years later he finally became sane again and resumed normal angelic form, and attempted to make amends with the people who had to endure his psychosis. He then created an island in the tropics and built a large two-story house on it. His brother Epna by then had also left the angel sect, gone through his own insanity, and came to live with Aoi and his children. Current Status Aoi still lives on the island but has since replaced the false foliage with actual plants, making it a true ecosystem. He has since adopted and raised various orphans there as well besides his own two children. Family Aoi has no parents, but has a twin brother, Epna. He has four children, only two of which remain, that are named Neomenia and Orthros. He has two grandchildren through Orthros who have disappeared with their mother. |
