Overview
Kelius is a villain whose real name is Artero, which he usually doesn't go by. Both his and Athera's names were randomly generated, but happen to both be Greek for "vein". Personality Kelius is suave and learned in speech, with a mildly condescending heir particularly when lying through his teeth. He sticks fast to any lie he creates even when all evidence and actual knowledge is stacked against him. He has apparently no compunctions about killing anyone who gets in the way of his grand ambitions for power and control. He even has no qualms about excruciatingly long, painful, or 'squicky' deaths (chronic debilitating illness, acidic melting while conscious, assassination by one's own children, etc.). Powers A plethora of deific abilities. Pre-role-play history Kelius was once a mortal man who ascended to godhood. Role-play history Kelius first cursed Prince Jacen months prior to an actual IC appearance. His appearance came only when Jacen was cured of the sickness by Dechaerrim. He appeared in the castle and re-cursed Jacen again, with Dech's mother Ruth being the only witness. Jacen's memory of the event, however, was erased immediately. Besides Ruth's witnessing it, though, both Dech and Gloria were able to trace the magic back to Kelius anyway. Kelius appeared in the castle multiple times since then despite everyone known he cursed Jacen (leading to a quick and unrevivable death); sometimes he was summoned on purpose and sometimes he simply wandered in. Each time, he would either resolutely deny having ever met Jacen, then having ever done anything to him, regardless of any facts thrown in his face about it. Eventually his appearances were met with outright enmity but only once did he let it lead into a physical altercation. Finally, he seemed to have put an obedience charm on Leyla, Jacen's little sister, while disguised as a nobleman. He also has prevented her from telling anyone about it. He compelled her to attempt to murder her own mother, the queen Ablica, using blood (which acts to the All family as sulphuric acid acts to a human), but Ablica thwarted the attempt. Around this time, he approached archdemoness Teliah, current leader of Ocera, to remove from the anthro-tiger kingdom its Princess Jayden and her fiancee, Dech (who happened to be Teliah's brother and enemy). She agreed to do so, but finally let them go after only a few days of captivity even after reclaiming Jayden from Gim (who had 'rescued' them by kidnapping them from Teliah). It was only after Dech and Jayden returned to the material plane that Kelius had Leyla try to kill Ablica. Kelius then kidnapped and de-aged Haven in an attempt to undermine the throne, but the plot wasn't fell for and he allowed Haven to re-age. After this Kelius mostly left everyone alone, and even offered to aide them, but they turned down his offer out of distrust. Kelius was/is in a relationship with Athera, a Goddess of Wisdom. Current Status Kelius is alive. Family Unknown. |
