Personality Samuel is a very disattached, impersonal person, largely concerned with strategy, mathematics, codes of conduct, and making sure that society is functioning well. Appearance Samuel is a young human man with brown hair and eyes. Powers Samuel has no supernatural powers but is well-trained in weapons combat, battle strategy, and aristocracy. Pre-role-play history Samuel was raised by noble parents in Maybud, though his father, a soldier, died in battle at some point in Samuel's life. Role-play history Samuel first started appearing years ago, travelling with fellow nobles Davidus and Pairy, and his future squire Adam. At one point, he met Jamie and developed a crush on her (until later on discovered Jamie was in fact a genderbent James). Samuel reappeared more securely once having been promoted to knighthood, with Adam made as his squire. He came to the area of Lakeside after its destruction, and he made a deal with some passing dwarven traders to have them help him rebuild the city. At this time, he also met Saruth, and they shortly fell in love. They became engaged a mere week after meeting, despite her already-pregnant state due to rape by bandits. When Ruth and Adam were both kidnapped by bandits led by Eleena, Samuel, Davidus, and Ruth's son Dechaerrim wiped out the bandit camp, leading to high tensions between them and other people such as Mar, who disagreed with their violent retaliation. When Saruth was kidnapped by Del'narreth (and extorted into sex by him), and then summarily killed by Beiel, Samuel left back for Maybud in grief, leaving Gloria in charge of Lakeside in his stead. When Ruth was revived, and when Samuel actually heard of this news, he returned but did not take back the handle of Lakeside's leader. Ruth was later re-kidnapped by Del'narreth, as she had been impregnated by him when they first had sex, due to her miscarriage on the same day. Samuel was unaware of this, and searched for months to find her. Finally, Ruth's newborn daughter was brought by one of Del'narreth's messengers to Dechaerrim, who informed Samuel of its birth. When Sam learned that the child was not his own, he left for home for good, saying he would not "take part in this pitiful drama any longer", and that Ruth should be told "to learn to defend herself better". The last that has been heard of Samuel was when he lamented to Davidus about Ruth, which she heard due to her name sense. Current Status Samuel is alive and has not been seen since he left. Family Samuel is an only child, his father is deceased, and his mother, Merium, remarried a man named Thomas Tolloller, a fellow noble. |
