Personality Tyr's mind is shattered from decades of torture and brainwashing, and she is irreparably mentally stunted. For the most part she doesn't act for or against other beings, but at the first presence of a demon she flies into a violent rage against them and attempts to kill them at any cost to herself or others. She has no morality; only her quest to slay demons, and to slay anyone who impedes her mission. She is depressed by her "duty", and is just as likely to break into tears as to attack a demon when she meets one. Appearance Tyr is a teenaged girl. She has short, straight black hair with bangs, and blood-red eyes. She has fair skin, a stocky frame, and a somewhat flat, round face. Powers Tyr has tremendous magical ability, most of which remains untapped, in order to keep her demonic nature a secret. So far she has shown to be able to generate solid objects made of pure magical energy, which fade soon after breaking contact with her body. She uses this ability to form all manner of weapons, most of which she is highly proficient with. Of note is the fact she does NOT have Name-sense as she should, because her name was not given to her by another Theksarsi, and thus was not divinely inspired. Pre-role-play history Tyr was created as all part of a devious plot by the evil Goddess Aphila. Aphila summoned and sent the demon Harziyax to attack a remote village of hinterland barbarians, in order to rape and impregnate who she saw as the strongest specimen of the group, the tribe chief's daughter Freya. Aphila attempted many times to have Freya kidnapped, then gave up and simply made sure she was kept safe and unharmed. Once Freya went into labor, Aphila intervened, taking Tyr as soon as she had been born and named. Role-play history Tyr was spirited away to Ocera and placed in hyper-time by Aphila to quickly raise and train. Tyr was kept in a small chamber and assaulted by constant (illusory) demons and urged to fight back. When she began to battle the demons, she was rewarded with comfort and food. When she disobeyed or simply failed, she was punished. She was aged up to forty years of age (the equivalent of an eight-year-old human child due to her slow aging) in the span of a few minutes, when Nathan learned of her kidnapping and summoned her back. She barely knew Oceran, and was even less proficient in Common. She was reunited with her mother, but had no concept of family or society, and eventually killed Freya in a tantrum and stole her belongings. Freya gave up on taking care of her at that point, and hasn't tried to interfere in Tyr's life anymore. Michelle, however, has been patiently taking care of Tyr. Tyr was eventually taken back to Ocera when Aphila demanded her as payment for memory restoration to an amnesiac Dechaerrim. Aphila knew her time was likely limited with Tyr, and so focused entirely on weapons training. Unfortunately, Nathan had given an order (for the summoning spell used to retrieve Tyr was also an obedience spell) not to attack anyone that did not attack her first. Aphila, frustrated at this, sent Tyr down into the city just outside the palace, populated entirely by demons. She provoked the demons into attacking a defenseless-looking Tyr, who proceeded to level the city and slaughter the populace en masse. Shortly after being returned to the palace with Aphila's satisfaction, Aphila vanished and the wards protecting the palace from intrusion/escape became inert. Malystrics came to rescue Tyr this time, who had been aged up to teen-hood by then (meaning further decades had passed, this time over a few days). Tyr was given into Michelle's care once again and lived with her from then on. Current Status Tyr is alive and well. Family Tyr's parents are Freya and Harziyax. Her maternal grandparents were Bjorn and Sula, and her aunt was Falda (all deceased; killed by Harziyax). Her siblings are Teliah and Dechaerrim. Her niece is Sokoya and her nephews are Rahim and Anutda-at. |
