Yahevabathshebaxas/Monica
(ya-hay-va-bath-shee-back-sus)
Species: Dizastrusi demon
Gender: Female
Homeworld: Earth
Alignment: Unknown
Generation: First
Player: Joelle
Overview

Monica was her original name, but it was changed pre-rp to Yahevabathshebaxas, roughly translating to "beloved seventh daughter". She is generally called Yaheva or more rarely Sheba for short.

Personality

Yaheva is coy, witty, and seems outgoing and teasing at first, even slightly condescending, but it is to cover up a rather bitter introvert at heart. She is not a bad person, preferring to help people at any cost than to hurt them, but on occasion has been driven by desperation to commit cold-blooded sins. She would be considered by most to be loosely-moraled, being an open bisexual who has no problems with casual sex, and no problems with alcohol or drug use. Mostly, she's very easy to get along with because of her charisma and willingless to lend a selfless hand, but can be hard to get to know because she remains closed and evasive about her past and feelings.

Appearance

In human form, Yaheva is a pretty woman with a round face, long black hair (it does not 'shine' like most black hair does, having instead of a dulled charcoal-like lustre), and eyes pale green like jadestone.

In demonic form, she resembles an asphalt-textured leopard, with particularly large claws. Her fur is short and negligible. Her eyes remain the same pale green, shining roundly like moons out of her face. She has a pair of mostly vestigial batwings with thick claws like a gargoyle's. All over her back, and all down her tail, are long porcupine-like quills filled with a very mild toxin (they produce pain and drowsiness but are not fatal except to the highly allergic). These quills can't be shot, but detach easily and have tiny barbs on them, making them painful to remove once they've stuck into an enemy's flesh.

Powers

Due to her poisonous nature, Yaheva is very resistant to all poisons, including alcohol and drugs (she is always trying to home-brew a stronger moonshine). She is not exceptionally powerful in any other ways, having only some minor resistances to the elements, greater-than-average strength and agility, and the ability to open portals between the worlds she's been to. This ability can only be used sparingly, however. She has a vague ESP just for being supernatural, but it can't be directed and only gives her "feelings" about things.

Pre-role-play history

Monica was in fact born to a middle-class British family on Earth, in the year 1878 AD. She lived a fairly uneventful life until she was in her 20s, when her "friend" Kenneth Walters introduced her to Dechaerrim. Not knowing that Dech was an evil demon, she let him court and romance her, and fell in love with him. He then whisked her off to his home planet of Ocera and turned her into a Dizastrusi-type demon (natives to the planet) to add to his harem, confessing that he never loved her and intended to keep her around as a sex slave to bear him more offspring. He changed her name to Yaheva and cast an enchantment on her preventing her from speaking or writing her original name, or his full name.

She was kept captive in his palace, being raped by him constantly until finally bearing him a son which she named Rahim; but, the abuse didn't stop. Eventually she pleaded for a way out of slavery. Dech agreed that if she could kill someone in cold blood as a sacrifice to him, he would release her. Desperate and perhaps a little bit insane by then, she went to Earth and grabbed the first person she found, murdering them and bringing back the corpse to the palace. He praised and "released" her -- meaning he set her free in the Oceran caves and stopped abusing her unless she did something to directly interfere with his business first. She ended up worse off than before, still being a demon, and now being assaulted by any demon she came across instead of only Dech. Now that she was able to create portals freely, however, she spent as much time as possible on Earth or the fantasy world material plane to get away, re-civilizing herself.

Role-play history

Yaheva first appeared when Dech and Draug conspired to kidnap Jayden as a sex slave. The two demons were going to lie about having a captive they did not have in order to make up a false ransom that Jayden had to pay for with her own body. Yaheva saw through the scheme, opened a portal, and took Jayden to safety on the fantasy/medieval world proper. Dech, enraged, injured her severely. She later visited Jayden a few times at the Lakeside mansion, revealing as much as she could about Dech before being halted by the spell of secrecy (which he hadn't removed).

Frequently during his plight against Jayden and her comrades, Yaheva would warn them ahead of time or help them out of trouble in the limited ways she could, even though she always suffered recapture and abuse because of it.

She was relieved rather than grieved when Dech killed their son (punishment against Rahim for destroying his father's corpse after Dech had been assassinated by Guarav, and then trying to take over the palace as the new king). By then she had distanced herself from Rahim, because he grew up to be a spoiled, sadistic psychopath while still being a sycophant to Dech.

When Dech's long-lost sister Teliah randomly reappeared and took over Ocera during his unexplained lasting absence, Yaheva was relieved then too, and eventually out of weariness from the last tyrant, she agreed to join Teliah's workforce in the palace as one of the cooks/bartenders (it being one of the few real skills she has).

Current Status

Yaheva currently works and lives at the palace on Ocera.

Modern Setting

Yaheva still resides on Ocera in the future, but does not seemed to have aged at all by then; it is likely she has either died in the medieval setting and been revived far in the future, or has had a powerful anti-aging spell placed on her. She had a brief sexual liaison with Miranda, a distant descendent of Rahim, whose father is Dechaerrim.
