Overview
Yari was meta-named after Lt. Yarr on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Personality Yari is strong-willed and free-spirited with an A-type personality suiting her role as Alpha Wolf. She looks the other way where crime is concerned, deciding not to involve herself in any court disputes, but she doesn't tolerate extremely evil acts, especially not in her own establishment. She is joking and sarcastic and often gives playful nicknames to all her acquaintances. She is slow to anger and quick of wit, and completely unabashed about her own body. Appearance Yari is a 20-something-year-old woman. She has feathery, boyishly-short snow-white hair, blue eyes, and slightly tanned skin. She wears deerskin or leather pants and a matching fur-lined short jacket, with a sleeveless white shirt underneath, and no undergarments (they're always destroyed when she shapeshifts). All of her clothes have been frequently sewn and re-sewn. Her lycan form is a very large wolf-beast with white fur and blue eyes. Powers Yari has no real supernatural gifts except for her ability to change into her lycan form. She is of course stronger and more hormonal on the full moon, but her shifting is always voluntary as she was born with it, not infected. She is harmed by contact with silver. Pre-role-play history Yari was born to werewolf parents, and so learned to control her gift in life instead of being controlled by it. Eventually she struck out on her own and gathered followers of other lone wolves, forming a pack and migrating across the land to find the perfect territory. Eventually she settled into the area near the anthro-tiger kingdom and built her tavern there. At some point she met and befriended Vince, hiring him as the senior member of her waiting and cooking staff once she built her Abnoc. He has probably known her longer than any other PCs have. Role-play history Yari has slept with both Necro and Mar, and plenty of other NPCs before them. She has recruited PCs Delia, Alexander, and Amber into her pack. Amber is James' daughter, who already disliked Yari in the first place for defeating him in public. Eventually, her pack dissolved, leaving behind only the PCs (and none of the NPC wolves on the side). The Abnoc was destroyed by a random portal, and she moved to rebuild it in the new Lakeside, where it was shortly destroyed by a monster caused by some of Binkasu's magic gone awry. She then rebuilt it again, this time as a restaurant and inn, and much larger than before. Yari eventually came to be in a permanent relationship with Mar. At one point, Yari tried on Mar's old gender-bending ring for sexual purposes, impregnating the still-female Mar. Mar then gave birth to their daughter, Arianna, and the three of them moved in together in Lakeside. One day, as Yari was walking outside of town, she disappeared with a flash of green light and a loud, explosive noise, concurrent with the underground appearance of a strange stone palace. Two weeks after this, Vince recovered her belongings and last will from where she had once buried it. Current Status Yari is still missing. Family Yari and Mar have a daughter named Arianna. |
