Every since Tivik's introduction into the Doodlies, I suddenly realized that he wasn't all -that- hard to draw, and that I should draw more of him. His entire background, even. So these Tiv comics were meant sort of as a supplement of the events before and after his flashbacks in the Doodlies, meaning originally these were intended to be "high-end Doodlies". Like with the Doodlies I never did any beforehand sketching, or any inking, and as little erasing as possible. So I was going for a very simplified look here in the first Doodly. It was hard to decide where to start in his life -- childhood? going to the manor? meeting Helena? meeting the androgynous wizard? Nope, I figured, why not start sometime right after his conception? Also, with the exception of Tivik and the wizard, all the characters' appearances were made up on the spot. I never drew anyone beforehand.
